Mommy votes for exhaustion. The past few days have been very busy and our schedule does not look like it will slow down any time soon. Halloween just seem to add to the craziness! The kids had a blast and were so excited to be in their costumes. Chloe kept taking off parts of her costume so I never got a great picture of her in her Hannah Montana costume. Aidan was a dragon and Brenna was a pink poodle. They all looked great!!
We went to Nana and Poppa's and Uncle Michael and Aunt Kim's houses to "Trick or Treat". The kids had fun showing off their cuteness. Than after a quick dinner we headed to church for a night of fun!! The kids played games, ate hot dogs (even though they had just ate dinner), saw their friends and got hoards of candy. They had a great time.
I know the pictures aren't great but I was having a hard time taking pictures and keeping track of the kids in the crowd. Enjoy our Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving
We finally got around to carving the pumpkins we picked at the patch. It was quite a chore since neither Aidan or Chloe would stick their hands into the pumpkins and rip out the guts. Chloe finally reached in and cleaned out her pumpkin. It was quite funny to see the disgusted look on her face.
We carved Aidan's pumpkin first since it was the smallest. He helped carve the whole thing. He did a great job and had a blast poking the cut triangles into the pumpkin. I didn't get any pictures of Chloe carving her pumpkin, unfortunately. She wouldn't let me. She wanted to surprise me with her design. She did her pumpkin all by herself, designing it and everything. She did a fabulous job. I will try to get some pictures of our pumpkins lit tomorrow night.

Blog Facelift
What do you think of our brand new look? I couldn't stand the old look of the blog. It was so boring and didn't have much personality. (If you have ever visited my stamping blog you would understand why!!:-) I love our new look. Keep checking back since I plan on changing it whenever the mood hits.

Beach Combers
We headed home from our vacation today. It is never fun leaving such a beautiful place. I love going to the condos for vacation, although some I like more than others. The resort we were at this past week is definitely one of my favorites. It is so beautiful and spacious. Matt enjoys it as well.
Since we were on a late ferry we decided to explore a bit. We don't make it to this part of our area very often. I don't think any of us were ready to declare our vacation over!! :-) We took the kids to Ft. Warden to enjoy the beach and scenery.
We walked all over the place!! The kids were great troopers as we hiked all over the place. Chloe was generally leading the way. Aidan, bless his heart, was generally bringing up the rear. His short legs just couldn't keep up. Eventually he just started slowing down and enjoying the scenery. All the kids had fun throwing rocks in the water, checking out the lighthouse and playing in the sand. Except for Brenna--she slept through it all.
Once the kids were completely exhausted, we headed back to the cars for a picnic lunch by the beach. Brenna finally woke up and joined us for lunch and some fun. We walked out onto the pier and got to see a family of four otters lounging in the sun on the dock. The kids got the biggest kick out of that and watched the sunbathers for quite a while.
After spending the morning exploring we headed to town and stopped for some yummy treats. The kids had a great time and were not very excited about coming home-even though they were exhausted. It was a great break from the "humdrum" routine we were stuck in. We not only got to spend time with Nana and Poppa but we also got to visit with Matt's family-his cousin Debbie and her husband George and family.
All three kids are out cold-including a very fussy, cranky, teething 5.5 month old. Mom will be joining them here in a while. Tomorrow I will unpack, tonight I am just to tired!! :-)

Still Waters
The Search for the Great Pumpkin!!
Today we went to our favorite pumpkin patch. Although due to our wet and cold spring, the patch was not up to its usual glory but we still had a great time. The kids were excited to run around and they had a blast searching for the perfect pumpkin.

Condo Retreat
The past few months have been busy! With the new baby, Aidan hitting the terrible twos and Chloe growing and testing boundaries. We are enjoying a few days away to play with Nana and Poppa. We are staying at one of their "condos". It is a gorgeous resort, right on the water. Sitting in the dining room typing this I am looking out over the water-it looks like we are floating in the bay. The first few pictures are of out view while we are here.
Here are some pictures of us relaxing and playing around in the condo. As you can see the kids are getting so big!!
