Rice Cereal

Rice cereal, yummy! Brenna has been on cereal for about two weeks. She is still deciding if she likes it. At first she was so excited to be able to eat like Mom but lately she is not sure if she wants to eat it. She is all hands while she is eating. As soon as the spoon is in her mouth so are her hands. So as you can imagine dinner is a bit messy--but absolutely adorable! We will start having cereal in the morning this week. Hopefully that will help her decide if she likes rice cereal or not.

T-Ball Player Want-to-Be!

Chloe had t-ball again and it was driving Aidan nuts that he couldn't play with "E". So raided the equipment and tried to play alone. He was so cute. So here are some shots of our little Babe Ruth!

The last picture is of him pouting after I strapped him into the stroller. Apparently just watching wasn't good enough...He wanted to play. So after chasing him off the field for the third time it was time to strap him in! As you can see he was pretty mad. Life is tough when you are 2.

Aidan Update!!

Aidan is slowly recovering from this nasty virus (after he passed it on to a few friends). No one else in the house has gotten sick, Thank You God! His rash is very slowly starting to fade. If I am even a little late with the Benedryl I can tell. The poor boy starts itching like crazy. He can't have a nice relaxing warm bath right now either because it will aggravate the rash. He loves taking baths too! Hopefully by the end of the weekend he will be rash free!

Picking Rocks and Blackberries

Last week we had some really nice weather. It was sunny and warm, although there was a definite chill in the air reminding us that it was still fall. We took advantage of the nice weather and had a barbecue at Mom and Dad's. The kids had so much fun running around. My parent's garden is almost completely harvested, except for the sunflowers and the pumpkins. So Poppa was churning the dirt for next year's garden. The kids helped pull out rocks. Brenna excitedly looked on.

Here are the kids picking blackberries. Despite our cold spring and late summer, they are growing like crazy. Aidan had a blast picking them and the thorns didn't stop him from enjoying them. As you can see by his berry stained hands. Chloe isn't a huge blackberry fan but she does love to pick them.

National Safety Month

Today we were off to Daddy's favorite place, The Clubhouse. Every month they have a kid's workshop where the kids can build something from scratch (well actually Mom and Dad do most of the building). The kids look forward to his each month. Since October is National Safety Month there were fire trucks, police cars, etc. for the kids to explore. They had a great time.

After the kids explored for a bit it was time to put on their aprons and start building. This month's project was a fire truck. Definitely one of the easiest projects we have made. It did use a lot of nails though. I started the nails for Chloe and she pounded the rest of hers in. After a couple of hits with the hammer Aidan decided he would rather eat his popcorn than build so Mom finished his truck for him. Brenna slept through all of the banging, if you can believe that. Got to love the Ergo Carrier.

When we got home we got busy painting the fire trucks. This was the first time I have ever attempted a painting project with Aidan. He loved it of course. He was so disappointed when we were done. Chloe loves any opportunity to paint. Brenna looked on from her jump toy.

Aidan Update!!

HE DOESN'T HAVE THE CHICKEN POX!! Yeah! He still has a rash of red bumps however. He is either having some kind of reaction to something or is fighting a virus and this is how his body is trying to get rid of it. We are not sure what it is but are hoping that benedryl will take care of it. He is not as itchy today, unless he gets hot and sweaty. He hasn't run a fever and is in a great mood so we will see what the morning will bring. I will post more later!!

Sibling Silliness

As soon as the kids see the camera they insist that I take their picture. They are such a bunch of hams. I guess that works out for all the grandparents and Daddy. It means that I have lots of pictures to post!

So Much For Vaccinations!!

We think Aidan has the Chicken Pox. Yes, that's right, the Chicken Pox. He received a vaccination for them when he turned one. Apparently the vaccine works only about 80% of the time. Leave it to Aidan to be in the 20%. :-) He is covered with spots from head to toe and they are spreading. Now he is itching like a mad man and getting a bit cranky. He hasn't had a fever, unless it has been a low-grade fever that wasn't really noticeable.

Chloe (also vaccinated) doesn't have any spots or anything. Brenna seems fine as well (not vaccinated) but if she gets it we are praying it is a very mild case. Hopefully she is getting enough of Mom's milk to protect her from them, especially since Mom had them twice as a kid. So please pray the Chicken Pox won't spread to the girls. Also pray that he hasn't given them to anyone else this week.

Crazy Kids

These goofballs were hanging out in our room one night before bed. What a bunch of clowns! But they are ours and we couldn't imagine life without any of them! It is nights like this that I am reminded of how blessed we are to have three beautiful, active, creative and loving children. They are all healthy and full of life. Life is so Good!
